Our Definition of 9/11 Rescue and Recovery Workers are:
Police, Fire, Construction workers, Military, Red Cross and many other people who came to Volunteer and help with Rescue, Recovery and Cleanup Operations. Those who labored tirelessly at Ground Zero and the Staten Island Landfill (where the rubble was sorted) You are now considered "Ground Zero Heroes". You are the people we support. We encourage any and all of these Heroes to come forth and join us. We are here to help and support you!
The 9/11 Rescue and Recovery Workers of Florida was established in 2007.
The lodge was formed to provide a place for any Rescue and Recovery Workers who now live in the state Florida to gather together in a fraternal environment. Our lodge supports community activities and events through donations to the local lodge.
We are associated with The "Fealgood Foundation"
The primary mission of the FealGood Foundation, a non-profit organization, is to spread awareness and educate the public about the catastrophic health effects on 9/11 first responders, as well as to provide assistance to relieve these great heroes of the financial burdens placed on them over the last five years. A secondary goal of our Foundation is to create a network of advocacy on 9/11 health care issues. We not only advocate for Ground Zero workers, but show others how they can advocate for themselves and help others through grassroots activism. Click here to visit The FealGood Foundation
